does WINTER work inside the FoW Forest? [A/R]
can Winter be used to effectively farm the Forest of the Wailing Lord?
Create a level 1...8 Spirit. For creatures within its range, all elemental damage is cold damage instead. This Spirit dies after 30...126 seconds. Recharges in 60 seconds.
You're able to survive the Spirit Sheperds because they use
Iron Mist - For 5...15 seconds, target foe moves 90% slower than normal. That foe gains immunity to damage from all sources except lightning. Recharges in 30 seconds
I don't have an assassin so i can't come up with a skill build and how to spread the attributes. can anyone more knowledgeable w/ the class fill up the skill bar (or confirm if winter+iron mist farming is doable in the first place)?
SKILL BAR TEMPLATE
Winter
[Teleport] - Death's Charge(?) or something with a faster recharge
[Running] - possibly Storm Chaser plus it gives energy too!
[Heath gain] - Troll/Shadow Refuge(?)
[Attack]
[Attack]
[Attack]
[Attack]/Serpent's Quickness(?) - faster recharge for winter(?)
and there's also the elite skill..
ATTRIBUTES(?)
Wilderness Survival - 10/12?
Critical -
Dagger -
Deadly(?)
Shadow Arts(?)
against Spiders as long as you fight them one at a time i guess they can be killed. Spirit Woods will hit hard especially since Assassins have a low armor rating but if you kill them fast enough... Also they usually run around with a group of Spirit Sheperds so w/ iron mist + winter on they will, along w/ everything else, deal 0 damage to you. Rock borer worms use Throw Dirt and Pin Down. Maybe you can put in Apply Poison switch to a bow and just degen them to death (R/Me). just ideas..

sounds like a very nice plan, though I don't think you need to be assassin for it. And there is the problem of those times when you are not slowed by iron mist..if you are using assassin you might want to use the elite shadow step, so you can teleport back... or set shadow of haste to 15-20 seconds, so you are teleported back shortly after iron mist wears off..

the reason for this being an A/R, given the gigantic amount of Assassins people made for PVE, is so that they could be able to use them at least for solo farming which the class happens to be *not that good at* (No or not that many, A/x solo farming builds/places yet.) Also iron mist slows your movement down to 90% so with a Warrior (or melee rangerO_O?) you'd be walking real slow to them before you can actually start waacking. You can use the Assassin's teleport skill to offset this tho you can take one with any warrior if you want ><
Most of the time you'll be fighting at least 3 spirit sheperds and they use Iron Mist one after the other. it recharges in 30 seconds and i think by the time the 3rd iron mist is over, the first sheperd will be casting another one on you.

again, with the spiders it could be possible to kill them easily as long as you fight them 1on1, the skeletons you can run past, the rock borer worms you could probably degen them w/ Apply Poision. The spirit woods...
that's why you have 5 free skill slots in there so you can put in skills to kill not just the sheperds..

Heres something I think would work.
Aura Of Displacement
Storm Chaser
Shadow Refuge
Golden Phoenix Strike
Horns Of The Oxe
Twisting Fangs
Mantra of Lightning
You would have to be extremely smart and fast to kill spiders. Have to make sure you can get in an out killing 1 shephard at a time, the spirit woods *Should* be easy enough.
ALTERNATIVELY
Be smart asses like WM and do duo run
Arcane Echo
Arcane Mimicry
Shadow Form
Golden Phoenix Strike
Horns Of The Oxe
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Shadow Refuge
Just keep Shadow Form up at all times, and your pretty much untouchable, wow.
